Samsung Galaxy A8-High Performance At Great Price

Samsung has categorized the phones in six tiers. The A series lies below the top line of smartphones which are the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Note series. With the launch of Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge Plus was accompanied with the release of new Galaxy A8. The SamsungGalaxy A8 is the biggest phone in the A series. With a chic design, A8 has good battery life and excellent camera. It is lighter as well as slimmer than its counterparts. Buyers with A8 can save some money and get the similar strong performance as much as any top line phones offer.

Evaluation of the Features

1.          Look and Feel

a.      The Galaxy A8 has a sophisticated look thanks to the metallic frames and curve edges. The solid home button along with fingerprint scanner makes the waking and unlocking of phone quite easier. The feature of double tap to open the camera is also one great feature of this phone. The back of the phone is metallic looking, matte texture plastic which gives it a good grip. The speaker and camera with flash are lined up at the back.

b.      A8 is a thin phone of dimensions 158 x 76.8 x 5.9 mm and weighs just 151 grams. It has an excellent 5.7 inch full HD Super AMOLED display screen of resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. The display of the phone is sharp and colors vibrant and has amazing touch sensitivity. It has the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 4.

             2.    Platform

a.      The Galaxy A8 has Octa Core processor of primary cores operating at 1.8 GHz and Secondary cores at 1.3 GHz. The phone has either Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset or Exynos 5430 chipset. The GPU is either Adreno 405 or Mali T628.

b.      Galaxy A8 runs on Android v5.1.1 Lollipop OS with TouchWiz user interface on the top layer. The user interface has improved a lot from past years and has become more functional.

a.      The phone has a large internal memory of 32GB with 2GB RAM. The memory can be expanded up to 128GB with microSD card.

a.      The new A8 has a 16 MP rear and a 5 MP front camera with f/1.9 aperture and flash. The camera is capable of capturing good pictures in normal light and works great in close ups and low light shots with the HDR function.
